CITY OF ANNA MARIA, FLORIDA
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS BEFORE THE CITY
OF ANNA MARIA PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD AND
CITY COMMISSION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Anna Maria Planning and Zoning Board will hold public hearings on February 20, 2026 at 9:00 A.M., or as soon thereafter as may be heard. The hearings will be at City Hall of the City of Anna Maria, 10005 Gulf Drive, Anna Maria, Florida 34216, to consider:
A request for a variance to the 15-ft waterway setback requirement for the installation of a retaining wall along Tampa Bay located at 853 North Shore Dr.
The following text amendment to Chapter 110 Waterways of the City of Anna Maria Code of Ordinances:
ORDINANCE NO. 26-954
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANNA MARIA, FLORIDA, AMENDING SEC. 110-73 "BULKHEADS AND SEAWALLS" AND SEC. 110-74, AND "REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT OF SEAWALLS AND BULKHEADS"; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
All interested parties may appear at the meeting or utilize optional attendance by telecommunications media and be heard regarding this request.
For additional information contact the Anna Maria Building Department. Copies of the proposed requests are on file at the City of Anna Maria City Hall, Building Department and may be reviewed by the public between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, exclusive of holidays.
If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
