NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Planning & Zoning Board Meeting City of Lake Wales
Municipal Building, 201 W. Central Avenue, February 24, 2026 at 5:30 P.M.
Notice is hereby given that the Planning and Zoning Board of the City of Lake Wales will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 5:30 P.M. or shortly thereafter at the Municipal Administration Building, 201 W. Central Avenue, Lake Wales, Florida, in the Commission Chambers, to consider the following requests:
1) Small-Scale Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment to assign 24+/- acres of land a Future Land Use designation of IND Industrial and a Zoning Map Amendment to assign 24+/- acres of land a Zoning designation of I-1 Industrial Park Parcel ID: 273013000000041020, 273013000000041010

All interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed amendments. If any person decides to appeal any decision made by the Planning and Zoning Board with respect to any matter considered at such hearing, he will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose he may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. The files for these hearings may be inspected at the Growth Management Department during regular business hours. Please call (863) 676-5112 to make arrangements to view the files.
The Planning and Zoning Board may continue the public hearing to other dates and times, as they deem necessary. Any interested party shall be advised that the dates, times, and places of any continuation of these or continued public hearings shall be announced during the hearing and that no further notices regarding these matters will be published. Written comments filed with the administrative official will be heard and considered. Persons with disabilities needing assistance to participate in any of these proceedings should contact the City Clerk 48 hours in advance of the meeting at (863) 678-4182 extension 1254.
