Notice-Florida Museum of Natural History NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Florida Statute 267.0723, that the UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA-FLORIDA MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY (UF-FLMNH) has custody of a holding orcollection on loan, that was acquired from multiple properties located across Highlands, Collier, Lee, Broward, Levy, and Putnam Counties in FL. The collection consists of archaeological materials. The UF-FLMNH wishes toterminatethis loan effective 5/4/2026. Potential claimants of these properties must contact the NAGPRA officeat352-2731943 ornagpraoffice@floridamuseum.ufl.edu todiscuss specific details ofthe locationand to collect or donate this collection within90 daysof the publication of this notice.Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of ownership of this property.Site 1: Upper Matecumbe Key, Monroe County, Florida (Reference Acc. 2001-22) once owned by Mr. Arthur Choate in 2001. Site 2: Old Venus, Highlands County (Reference Acc. 91-5), on land once owned by Leland G. Crews Inc. near Old SR 8 and recovered in 1989. Site 3: Lake Placid, Highlands County (Reference Acc. 91-12), land once owned by Denco Inc. was recovered in 1989. Site 4: Horr's Island, Collier County (References Acc. 89-22; 89-23; 89-27; 89-28; 89-31 to 89-36), on land once owned by either Key Orion, Inc. or Marco 58 Developers and recovered in the late 1980s from Blue Hill Creek Drive. Site 5: Boca Grande, Lee County, Florida (Reference Acc. 88-25), near Snail Island Court and recovered in 1988. Site 6: Bokeelia, Lee County, Florida (References Acc. 90-2; 90-13; 90-20), near Waterfront Drive and recovered in 1990. Site 7: Sanibel Island, Lee County, Florida (Reference Acc. 91-32), near Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge and recovered in 1991. Site 8: Town of Fort Myers Beach, Lee County, Florida (Reference Acc. 95-24), acquired from what is now Mound House Museum on property owned by the Long Family and recovered in the1990s. Site 9: St James City, Lee County, Florida (Reference Acc. 2001-139 to 2001-147), from 2001-2002. Site 10: unknown location, Lee County, Florida (Reference Acc. 2014-9), property located at the mouth of the Caloosahatchee River on Mike Tyree's abandoned property. Site 11: Cemetery Hammock 8BR352, Broward County, FL (References Acc. EAP0406, EU8, Level 5-10, FS45), property located west of Woodstock Dr. between Imura Rd. And Himalaya Dr. in Broward County, in 1988. Site 12: Aboriginal Cemetery 8LV4, Levy County, (References Acc. EAP0485, Trench 3, 9-12m), property located in the Area of Whiddon Ave and G Street in Levy County, in an unknown year.Site 13: Horse Landing 8PU27, Putnam County (References Acc.
