NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT AND ASSOCIATED ZONING CHANGES Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held by the Planning & Zoning Commission in the City Commission Chambers, City Hall, Sanford, Florida, at 10 am on Thursday, February 5, 2026, to consider a Comprehensive Plan amendment for recently annexed properties. Request: Public Hearing to consider an amendment to the ComprehensivePlan Future Land Use Map, assigning the appropriate City land use designations and amending the citys zoning map assigning appropriate city zoning classifications to recently annexed properties in a manner consistent with the Joint Planning Agreement. All parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard at said hearing. The Planning & Zoning Commission will submit a recommendation to the City Commission in favor of, or against, the requested change or amendment. It is anticipated that the Sanford City Commission will consider this matter at a public hearing on Monday, February 23, 2026, in the City Commission Chambers, City Hall, Sanford, Florida, at 7 PM. Interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard regarding the transmittal of the proposed plan amendments to the City Commission.
