REVISED NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Planning and Zoning Board (P&Z)/Local Planning Agency (LPA), and City Council of the City of Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida calls for a Public Hearing to be held at Melbourne City Hall. The Hearing before the P&Z Board/LPA will be held at the Melbourne City Hall Council Chamber, located at 900 E. Strawbridge Avenue, Melbourne, Florida on February 19, 2026, at the hour of 6:30 p.m., for the purpose of hearing all persons interested in the following requests. The hearing of all items before City Council will be held in the Council Chamber in City Hall on March 10, 2026, at the hour of 6:30 p.m. CONDITIONAL USE REQUEST (CU2023-0009)AND SITE PLAN APPROVAL REQUEST (PLAN2024-0011) WHOLENESS TO FREEDOM SCHOOL: This Public Hearing is called to consider an Ordinance of the City of Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida, amending the Official Zoning Map as it relates to Ordinance 2005-120 for a Conditional Use request to allow a school in the C-R-1A (Single Family Low Density Residential with a Conditional Use to allow a church and school) zoning, on a 0.75 acre portion of an overall 3.49 acre property with site plan approval to renovate existing buildings accessory to the church into a vocational school, zoned C-R-1A (Single Family Low Density Residential with a Conditional Use to allow a church and school) and C-1 (Neighborhood Commercial District), located on the south side of Aurora Road, east and west of Ferndale Avenue, west of League Avenue (1619 Ferndale Avenue). Signed Cheryl Dean, AICP Planning Manager Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, the City hereby advises the public that: If a person decides to appeal any decision made by this Board, agency, or meeting or hearing, he will need a record of the proceedings, and that for such purpose, affected persons may need to insure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. This notice does not constitute consent by the City for the introduction or admission into evidence of otherwise inadmissible or irrelevant evidence, nor does it authorize challenges or appeals not otherwise allowed by law. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 286.26, Florida Statutes, persons with disabilities needing special accommodations to participate in this meeting should call the Community Development Department at 608-7507, not later than 48 hours prior to the hearing.
