CITY OF PUNTA GORDA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING YOU ARE HEREBY notified that the Punta Gorda Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. and the Punta Gorda City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 9:00 A.M. or as soon thereafter as may be heard to consider the following request: V-09-2025: A request by Lawrence Anthony Hopkins and Chantal Hopkins, Property Owners, for a 20-foot setback variance pursuant to Chapter 26, Section 16.10, Punta Gorda Code, to allow a 5-foot setback from the rear property line instead of the required 20 feet for a proposed in-ground pool, deck, and pool enclosure at 64 Sabal Drive, Punta Gorda, Florida. LEGAL: Lot 10, Block 12, Punta Gorda Isles, Section 4, Florida, according to the Plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 5, Pages 45A and 45B, of the Public Records of Charlotte County, Florida A/K/A: 64 Sabal Drive, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 PGI 004 0012 0010 CHARLOTTE COUNTY PARCEL ID: 412211328005 Said hearings will be held in the Laishley Community Room at 120 Laishley Court, Unit 111, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. Any persons desiring to be heard on this matter may appear at the above time and place. If an appeal is to be made of any decision made at this meeting, a verbatim record of the proceeding may be required. A copy of this notice and the associated public hearing documents are available for inspection at the Office of the City Clerk located 117 Herald Court, Unit 211, Punta Gorda, Florida 33950.
