LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF COUNTY-INITIATED QUASI-JUDICIAL PUBLIC HEARING The Sumter County Planning Zoning Special Master will hold a public hearing on February 16, 2026, at 5:00 P.M at The Everglades Recreation Center 5497 Marsh Bend Trail, The Villages, FL 32163 to consider the following application: Case No: ZON25-000056 Applicant: Sumter County General Location: Unincorporated Area – East of I-75 and North of E SR 44 Requested Action: Rezoning on14 acres MOL from Light Commercial (CL) and Residential minimum five acres with Conventional Housing (RR5C) to Heavy Commercial (CH). The recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Special Master will be presented to the Board of Sumter County Commissioners at a Public Hearing on March 10, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Everglades Recreation Center 5497 Marsh Bend Trail The Villages, FL 32163.
