Terms of Service
Last updated: February 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using NoticeRegistry (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. NoticeRegistry is operated by a private technology firm. Use of the Service is subject to these terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Description of Service
NoticeRegistry is an independent digital registry that automatically indexes, summarizes, and makes searchable public legal notices from state-authorized publications across the United States. We currently operate in California, Florida, Texas, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Georgia, and Washington. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official representative of any government agency, court, newspaper publisher, or state authority.
3. Informational Use Only
All content on NoticeRegistry — including original notice text, AI-generated summaries, FAQs, and next-step guidance — is provided for general informational purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes legal, financial, or professional advice.
You are responsible for verifying all information against the original official publication before taking any action. Use of this Service does not create an attorney-client relationship.
4. AI-Generated Content
Summaries, FAQs, and action steps displayed on notice detail pages are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. They are provided as a convenience only and are not a substitute for the full official notice text or qualified professional advice. NoticeRegistry makes no warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content.
5. Data Accuracy & Timeliness
While we strive to index notices promptly and accurately, NoticeRegistry makes no guarantees regarding the completeness, timeliness, or accuracy of the data on this platform. Notice records may be delayed, incomplete, or contain errors inherited from source publications. Always refer to the primary source for legally binding notice information.
6. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content in bulk without prior written permission
- Republish or resell notice data as your own product or service
- Harass, defame, or harm any individual identified in a public notice
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service
- Use automated tools to overload or abuse our infrastructure
- Attempt to circumvent any access controls or rate limits
7. Intellectual Property
The NoticeRegistry platform, including its design, software, AI enrichment, and original compiled data, is proprietary. Public notice text originated from government and newspaper sources and remains subject to any rights held by those original publishers. You may not reproduce or redistribute our platform or proprietary data without written permission.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. NOTICEREGISTRY DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
9. Service Availability & Discontinuation
NoticeRegistry does not guarantee that the Service will be available at any particular time or on a continuous, uninterrupted basis. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, infrastructure outages, technical failures, or causes beyond our reasonable control.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or permanently discontinue the Service — or any feature or portion of it — at any time, with or without notice. Where we intend to permanently discontinue the Service entirely, we will endeavor to provide at least 30 days’ advance notice via email or a prominent notice on the platform, where practicable.
If the Service is permanently discontinued, active paid subscribers will receive a pro-rated refund of any prepaid fees covering the unused remainder of their current billing period. This is your sole remedy in connection with discontinuation of the Service.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NOTICEREGISTRY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED $100.
11. Paid Services & Payment Terms
Pro Subscription
NoticeRegistry offers a paid “Pro” subscription tier providing access to additional features including email alerts, address trackers, and CSV export. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis via Stripe. You may cancel at any time through your account dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No pro-rated refunds are issued for partial subscription periods, except where the Service is permanently discontinued as described in Section 9.
Administrative Technical Service: Search Suppression
We offer a one-time paid service (“Search Suppression Service”) whereby we apply noindex metadata to a specific public notice page upon receipt of payment. The current fee is $49 (USD), the same flat rate for all requesters.
Scope and limitations. This service applies metadata to our page only. We do not control Google’s or any other search engine’s crawl schedule, cache clearing, or de-indexing timelines. We do not guarantee that any search engine will honor the noindex signal within any particular timeframe or at all. We are not responsible for third-party sites, data aggregators, or cached copies that may have already indexed the content. The public notice record remains live on our site as required by applicable state law and continues to be accessible via our internal search.
No refunds — all sales final. Because the metadata tag is applied automatically upon confirmed payment, the Search Suppression Service is non-refundable. By submitting payment you acknowledge that you have read and understood the scope limitations above and that the fee covers administrative and technical labor only. If you have questions about the service before purchasing, contact us at contact@noticeregistry.com prior to completing payment.
Chargeback policy. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute after the metadata tag has been applied constitutes a breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to reverse the noindex tag and restore standard indexing on any notice where a chargeback is successfully initiated.
12. Dispute Resolution
Informal resolution first. Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us at contact@noticeregistry.com and give us 30 days to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. Most concerns can be resolved this way.
Binding arbitration. If informal resolution fails, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service — including the Search Suppression Service — shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. You and NoticeRegistry each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action.
Small claims exception. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court in Miami-Dade County, Florida, provided the claim qualifies under that court’s jurisdictional limits.
Class action waiver. You agree that any arbitration or court proceeding shall be conducted on an individual basis only. You may not bring a claim as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative action.
13. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or resources. NoticeRegistry is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party sites. Links do not constitute endorsement.
14. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. To the extent any claim proceeds in court rather than arbitration, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and waive any objection to venue or jurisdiction in those courts.
